Sunday CrawFish Boil

One of the agents who uses us for the home biz, bought us tickets to a Crawfish Boil last Sunday. I was so dreading it. Knowing where those little buggers come from. Thank goodness they had other food there. Or Matt, I & the agent who invited us would have starved to death. We ate Hot Dogs. How sad.. They were pretty good though. The free beer until 2pm was alright as well

One of the guys even took the meat out for to taste it. I just couldn't get over how disgusting they are. I really had to force it down. Yuck!!

I was so dreading going. It was such a good time in the end. Here are pictures before and after. They dumped 50 Lbs of crawfish on each table for everyone to devour. So disgusting.

I have never been to New Orleans, but that was the style it was, as it was a fundraiser for LSU alumni. (Louisiana State) Total rocking music. People dressed up in feathers and beads. Beads hanging from the 300 canopies of all the attendees. (2500+ people) It was awesome. Like a huge BBQ party. People and their kids playing football, frisbee, just having a good time.

I went to the restroom, and when I came back, some kid had a live crawfish in a bowl of water that he had found alive of all things.. How crazy is that!

We decided to hang one or two crawfish from the beads as if they were trapeze artists.. As you can see from the pictures and the old women in feathers, there were many interesting people there

That looks like it ended up being such a good time! I probably would have tried the crawfish but settled for a hotdog too!

I wonder if the picture/spacing issue is because of the template some people use (cutest blog, etc.). I just use the plain old boring blogspot templates and the only issue I have is that it every once in a while it adds an extra space between my paragraph and a picture, or deletes one. But I never have an issue putting pictures where I want them.

Everytime I think about getting fancier and using a template from somewhere else I end up deciding it probably isn't worth the hassle!

That is definitely one of those events that everyone dreads until you get there, and then you are glad you went. They usually do end up being fun.

I might have tasted just the meat if someone had given it to me, but for sure I would not stuff that thing in my mouth whole.

That looks like a lot of fun, but I would definitely be eating the hotdogs and would have to eat them out of view of anything with the word fish in it. I'm not sure I could stand the smell either. It had to be really fishy smelling with all that piled up everywhere.

yea.. the smell was very fishy when they started dumping 50lbs of those things on every table.. Will definately go again next year. And now that I know it is Mardi Gras kind of style.. We will go dressed up in all of the 100's of beads we have

That kind of remind me of a little shrimp wagon that me and my dad ate from twice a day for four days when we were in Hawaii (we had gift certificates). If you can get the legs and the shell off they are pretty tasty. My aunt Shawna's girls wouldn't try them so they ended up eating hot dogs for four days.
